Moving to Milan for a new job, a university semester or a project also means finding your own rhythm: knowing where to shop, planning your journeys and having somewhere you look forward to coming home to.
On Via Gassendi, in the Cagnola neighbourhood, this apartment offers separate spaces for different parts of your day. The living room, with its corner sofa and dining table, gives you somewhere to relax, have dinner or open your laptop. The double bedroom is a separate space for rest, with a large wardrobe to accommodate the belongings you bring for a longer stay.
The separate kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave and fridge, while the bathroom features a glass shower enclosure. Parquet flooring, balconies and air conditioning in both the living room and bedroom complete a home for a business assignment, a training programme or your university experience.
Check-in can be arranged from 11:00 to 18:00.
Monthly costs:
- €1,500/month: rent (*)
- €200/month: condominium fees
- €250/month: utilities (gas, water, electricity, WiFi)

The neighbourhood and everyday life
Via Gassendi is in north-west Milan, close to Piazzale Accursio, among the residential streets of Cagnola and the routes leading towards Bovisa. Around the apartment, you will find shops, cafés, pharmacies and everyday services. For a larger grocery shop, Piazza Portello has an Iper hypermarket and numerous other stores. The Accursio Library is a useful option when you want to alternate studying at home with a few hours of reading elsewhere.
When you feel like spending time outdoors, head to Parco Industria Alfa Romeo, recognisable by its landscaped hills and spiral paths, or continue towards Monte Stella for a walk or a run. For an evening out, Corso Sempione and the Arco della Pace offer alternatives to the neighbourhood’s local venues, while CityLife adds a cinema, restaurants and green spaces to your leisure options.
For Politecnico di Milano students, the location is particularly relevant to the two Bovisa sites: La Masa, focused on engineering and research, and Durando–Candiani, known for design. These are separate locations, so checking your classroom building will help you choose the most practical route.
For business guests, the main destinations are Allianz MiCo, fieramilanocity and the CityLife offices, including the Allianz, Generali and PwC towers. North-west Milan is also home to businesses in Milano Certosa District and La Forgiatura. For exhibitions, conferences and assignments in research and healthcare, transport connections also provide access to Rho Fiera and the MIND district, where Galeazzi–Sant’Ambrogio Hospital is located.
Getting around:
Local transport options include bus 57 towards Cairoli and bus 48 towards Lotto, where the M1 and M5 metro lines meet. Tram 14, along Viale Certosa and Piazzale Accursio, connects with Cenisio M5. The 90 and 91 circular routes also run along Viale Monte Ceneri and Viale Serra.
The M5 serves CityLife and Garibaldi, while the M1 continues towards the city centre and Rho Fiera. For journeys to and from Malpensa Airport, one option is to reach Bovisa Politecnico station and take the Malpensa Express.
